Members and guests of the Philadelphia Metro Council of the Blind meet on the second Thursday of each month at Will’s Eye hospital, 840 Walnut Street, in the 8th floor classroom. Meetings are from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
At this time, one of our goals is to keep the business portion of the meeting to approximately thirty minutes. The remainder is devoted to programming. Our program will be publicized and all are welcome to attend.
The chapter is conducting a membership drive. Although annual dues are $30, anyone who pays before December 1 pays only $25. Those individuals will also be entered into a drawing to win reimbursement of the $25. Additionally, any new members who join before December 1, 2014 will have their membership extended through 2015.
Looking ahead, the chapter will be holding a raffle, which will be drawn at the 2015 PCB State Conference and Convention in Harrisburg. You will not have to be present to win. Tickets will sell for $10. The prizes are all related to your 2015 convention expenses, or the cash equivalent, if you will not be attending.
1st: Two nights lodging
2nd: $50.00 towards transportation.
3rd: Banquet ticket
Tickets are currently being printed and will be available at the 2014 convention, and throughout 2015, leading up to the Harrisburg convention. Simply contact a PMCB chapter member or Chapter President, George Holliday at 215-796-9813 or George.firstname.lastname@example.org.
