Launch of Announcement Distribution List
In May, PCB launched an announcement -only email distribution list to communicate more directly with both members and non-members. All announcements are specific to PCB’s activities and events and the notable experiences of our peers. Announcements are limited to no more than two per week so we are not flooding your inbox. If you are a member who has not been receiving these email announcements, consider checking your spam folder and email filters. All who are impacted by vision loss either directly or as a friend, family member, or professional, are encouraged to sign up to receive PCB announcements. Simply contact the PCB office at 877-617-7407 or firstname.lastname@example.org with your email address.

Members are reminded that they drive the work of PCB. Is there an individual, organization or policy that should be condemned or commended? Is there a problem or accessibility issue which needs to be resolved? Is there a piece of legislation that should be proposed, opposed or supported? Is there a position that PCB should take and state publicly on an issue? Is there a policy or procedure which needs to be developed? Does the public need to be educated on a topic and does supporting documentation such as guidelines, a white paper, or an article need to be written? Is there a project that you would like to see PCB take on? Is there a PCB policy which you would like to see adopted or changed? If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” then, it is time to write a resolution!
The final deadline for submitting resolutions this year is August 15. You may submit resolutions or proposed bylaw changes to Carla Hayes by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or postal mailed to her in any format (braille or audio preferred) to Carla Hayes, 230 Robinhood Lane, McMurray, PA 15317. If you have any questions about resolutions or if you need help crafting one, please call her at 724-941-8184.
