2016 PCB CONFERENCE

OCTOBER 20-23 AT CROWNE PLAZA HARRISBURG-HERSHEY

The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind invites you to join us for our 81st annual conference celebrating independence and opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired.

Why Attend?
• Gather tips for gaining and maintaining independence
• Learn about accessible products, services, and activities
• Get plugged in to the latest issues impacting the vision-impaired community
• Find new friends and mentors who also live with vision loss
• Enjoy a weekend escape from the pressures of misperception and stereotype

PCB is pleased to offer the following support:

A. Three Full Scholarships for First-Time Student Attendees

Who is Eligible to Apply?
• High School and College Students who are blind or visually impaired (Given Priority)
• College Students with Sight enrolled in a blindness-related area of study
• All applicants must be a PA resident or enrolled in a PA institution

What does a full scholarship include?
• Ground transportation to and from the conference site in Harrisburg
• 3 nights lodging at the conference hotel (double occupancy)
• Your meals while at the conference
• Conference registration fees

B. Four $100 Returning Student Stipends

Who is eligible to apply?
• Any High School or College Student who is blind or visually impaired that has already attended a PCB Conference
• All applicants must be a PA resident or enrolled in a PA institution

C. One First-time PCB Member Scholarship

What is the criteria for eligibility?
• Must be a current PCB member over 18
• Member has never before attended the PCB Conference
• Member is active within his/her chapter leadership, on a PCB Work Team, or assisting with a PCB special project

What does a full scholarship include?

• Your meals while at the conference
• Conference registration fees

Nomination for this scholarship should be made by a Chapter President, PCB Team Leader, or PCB Board Member. Click here to download the First-time Member Scholarship Application.
