You won’t want to miss the 8th annual PCB Live Auction held on Friday evening, October 16, at 8 p.m. Attending the auction is a great way to meet members, enjoy snacks, and wind down with a delicious cocktail or beverage from the cash bar. Don’t forget to arrive early to survey the auction preview which will begin at 7:30 p.m. All prizes up for bid will be available for everyone to browse.

Great news for those at home who have
always wished they could participate in
the PCB Live Auction! Using PCB’s conference
line, we hope to provide those at home with
the opportunity to place bids in real time.
Here’s how we intend for it to work:

1. At 7:55 PM on Friday, October 16, friends at home should call into 712-432-0800 and enter pass code 200723#.
2. A member of the fundraising team will join the call live from the PCB Live Auction to act as the liaison for placing your bids.
3. If a phone bidder wins the high bid, she will need to provide her name and a telephone number where she can be reached immediately following the close of the auction. A representative of PCB will call at that time to collect the winning bidder’s credit card payment information.
4. Items will be shipped “Free Matter” from the PCB office on Monday, October 19. If shipping arrangements other than “Free Matter” are desired, arrangements will be made via the PCB office. Shipping fees will then be added to the purchase price of the item.
And now, here’s a gentle reminder to please submit notice of auction prizes to the fundraising team no later than Friday, October 9. When submitting a prize, include the following information: The name of the prize, a brief description, and the value. Prizes may be dropped off at the PCB table in the exhibit hall on Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

One other item for sale will be the PCB 16 oz. insulated travel mug. The mug contains a slide lid for easy sipping and less mess, along with a grip handle. The mug is blue and displays the PCB vintage logo in white and includes the PCB website address. The sale price is $6 for one, or two for $10. Members who will not be at this year’s convention can purchase the mugs at the sale price by contacting the PCB office.

Start your holiday shopping early. Stop by the vendor consultant corner in the exhibit hall. We have invited consultants from Tastefully Simple, Touched by Fantasy, Thirty-one Gifts, and artist, Diane Krek to participate with on-hand products to purchase. Each consultant will donate a portion of sales to PCB. We have also invited consultants to participate in an online fundraiser where a portion of sales will be given to PCB. Details regarding this fundraising opportunity will be posted to the listservs when more information becomes available.
