From the Fundraising Team

Thank you to everyone who helped and participated during this year’s live auction, and thank you to those members who donated prizes.  We would not have been able to make it happen without your support.

 

We hope you took some time out of your busy schedule during this year’s convention to visit the exhibit hall. Consultants from Mary Kay cosmetics and Thirty-One Gifts had a selection of cash-and-carry products for members to browse through and purchase. Our plan was to promote the consultant participation as a holiday shopping opportunity for members, while at the same time raising funds for PCB. Consultants Laura Bower and Tiffany Swartz of Thirty One Gifts donated $75 from their convention sales. The fundraising team is again considering the holiday shopping idea for the 2015 convention. We would like feedback from members to help us determine whether we should move forward and promote this fundraiser.

 

The Fundraising team is preparing for the 2015 PCB Calendar Raffle. Tickets are now available. If your chapter has not already requested an allotment, please contact me at 610-841-2832 so that we can get them to you without delay.

 

The cost per ticket is $20. The raffle will coincide with the 7:00 p.m. drawing of the PA daily number. This excludes the double draw number. The raffle will begin April 1 and continue through September 30. Again, there will be three prize levels: $125 for six holiday dates; $75 for the 1st and 15th of each month; and $30 for every other date. Completed stubs, including the seller’s name and chapter, should be mailed with payment to the PCB office by March 15, 2015. Please indicate in the memo field of checks that funds are for the raffle tickets.

 

As in other years, it is vital that you include the chapter name on each ticket stub so that your group receives credit for the ticket sale and profit share. Remember, the number of tickets the chapter sells determines the amount of the profit share the chapter will receive.

 

Consider these items for gift giving this holiday season:

 

The “True No Measure Cookbook” is a must. This book is available in large print, braille, DAISY file, and word CD. The braille copy is available for $25 and all other formats for $12.50.

 

The PCB travel mug will definitely help keep your loved ones warm this winter, while enjoying a hot beverage. The PCB 16 oz. insolated travel mug contains a slide lid for easy sipping and less mess, along with a grip handle. The mug is blue and displays the PCB vintage logo in white and includes the PCB website address. The price is $8 for one, or two for $15.
