Dinner Theatre Casting Call

In 2015, the cast of PCB’s production of Murder at the Tonylou Awards brought down the house at the annual conference banquet in Harrisburg. It was an amazing and enjoyable experience for the actors and the audience alike. So much fun, that we’ve got to do it again. If you’ve been kicking yourself because you missed it, or because you wish you had drummed up the courage to audition for a part the first-time around, don’t make that mistake again.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, immediately following the PCB Banquet and Awards Ceremony at the Doubletree in Pittsburgh, blind and visually impaired actors—all members of the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind will perform a mystery dinner play. This unique, second of its kind performance promises to be absolutely incredible. The casting call is open to all members of PCB, regardless of vision level or theatrical experience. If you can meet the below requirements and you’re looking to have a blast, then make sure you schedule an audition.

Requirements for Participation:
 Guarantee attendance at 2018 PCB Conference and Convention, including post-banquet
 Attend telephone-conference-based rehearsals from June to October, as the production team deems needed
 Practice your role on your own time between organized rehearsals
 Attend on-site walk-through rehearsal during the 2018 PCB Conference and Convention
 Consult with the production team about appropriate costume attire, which will be provided by the actor
 Be open to constructive feedback and respectful of others opinions and feelings

Auditions:
Telephone-based auditions will be scheduled for May. If you wish to audition for a role, please contact Sue Lichtenfels at 412-480-9696 or leadership@pcb1.org to schedule your audition appointment. You will then be provided a sample script with which to prepare for the audition. The deadline to schedule an audition is April 22, 2018. Once the final cast has been selected, those individuals will receive the full script in their preferred format.
