As you’ve no doubt seen on the PCB listserv and in previous editions of The PCB Advocate, a group of at-large members has been meeting virtually via teleconference since the fall of 2014. Earlier this year the group decided to form into a formal chapter of PCB. In June the group formally adopted bylaws to establish and govern the chapter. While the chapter is currently leading itself by consensus, the hope is that officers will be elected in November to begin serving January 1, 2017.
The Keystone Council of the Blind meets on the first Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. The group welcomes new members. This is a great way for those who are unable to participate in another chapter locally to take part in a chapter from the comfort of home. Join the teleconference meetings by calling 712-451-0011 and entering pass code 442357#. While this is a long-distance call, those without unlimited service can be connected for free by another meeting attendee. Please contact Mary Ann Cowfer at 814-215-0853 if you would like to participate but need to be connected by someone else.
